Hey guys,
Well thought I should update as it really has been all go lately which is great. First things first I must tell you all that I'm typing this on my new imac, I am annoying everyone already going on about it, i love my inner geek! The computer reallly is something else, I thought i'd find it hard to find my way around it, but it's grand...I've never really been in love beofre, but I sure am now....with a piece of hardware!! More evidence building everyday to help support the fact I have a cold black black heart ;)
Photography course is really kicking off now, I must be keen because it's getting me up and out of bed early when I could easily be lying in. It's the passion, is great, it's building up inside me and I don't want it to end. This weekend I finished off my first black and white film, it's going to be really interesting to see what I come up with, and the developing part will be excellent. I know my first film won't be great, but it's a complete learning curve..would have been better if i'd written down all the cam settings I was trying out as I went! ahh well bring on more rolls of film please, there's work to be done :)
Anyway I must go,heading out for dinner.
Take care,
Kaz x

Thought I'd share this with you as I thought it was funny. Just checked my statcounter account to see what key words had brought people to my blog. Check out these three classics

2) dirty bitch in ulster pics

Do I need a Man...interesting..
You Don't Need a Man ... or Want One! |
![]() Generally, you're very happy being a single woman. And anyone who has a problem with that... well, that's their problem. Not that you wouldn't share your life with the almost perfect guy. You simply won't settle though. Your life is too good to share with some substandard man! |

Monday's
Seriously lacking motivation today.
Why are Mondays such a struggle, you struggle to get up in the morning, and then you struggle your way through the day.
I want to start my day with drive and enthusiasm, but I'm finding that very hard to do at the moment. If money was no issue I'd lock myself away in some sort of studio, try my hand at painting again (I keep thinking I have the potential to paint something decent, but in reality would probably suck at it)! anyway yes I want to be inspired and want to drink wine and be creative, creative in a way that I've never been before...It's a pity real life and having to actually earn a few pounds gets in the way...
Anyway hope everyone has a good week, don't know where all that came from !!
Anyway I had a lovely weekend in Edinburgh catching up with Ali, Jamie, baby Rachel and the other Whitehead girls. Hopefully put some pictures up later on this evening.

Ohh and another thing I read this on someone's blog today:
The BBC recently reported a very sad report ... when you are in your 20's and 30's you have an average of 34 friends, when you get older and move into 40's and 50's you have an average of 16 friends ...
How sad that one of the things which we, and let's just say the whole western world, needs most, actually declines as we need it more.
As we get older, we hit more obstacles. We get hurt more. We learn more, and as result perhaps become more Cynical, bitter, inward focused and self-defeated, and so we become less hopeful, less adventurious - less alive.
We need more friends. Real friends. People who will stand by you when you simply need someone to stand by you - even if you're wrong
Thought it was a good point to make, how many of us have had friends that just slip away..?? We shouldn't let this happen, these are the people that know us the best and should be appreciated every day. While in Edinburgh I happened to mention that us Whitehead girls all went to the same Playschool, and are now still in pretty decent contact, some more that others but in contact all the same. We are extremely lucky to have that, and it's something that I hope continues!!! So if you consider yourself one of my friends, just remember I appreciate you! If you are no longer my friend then it's your fault not mine lol

...and I'm back in the Game
Hey there,
Very very tired today, had another photoshoot last night around the house with Neil (thank ooo)
It really was great fun, I feel like I got some good stuff. I'm trying to get to grips with more of the manual functions of my camera, plenty more to learn, but I hope I'm heading in the right direction...Whoever thought it would all be so complicated.
It's a shame I don't have more floating holidays, I really need time to myself to learn so much more. I have three floating days left apart from what I've booked off for Rome and Brighton, and I'll probably need those for Christmas shopping or something. Still that all sounds like an excuse, if i really wanted to I could find the time, and find the time I will!!
In the meantime, check out the pic below for an exmaple of my work last night..
Yeoooooooo it's Friday, time to get wasted! :)..what did I say about not using my time contructively..

Never really seem to have that much to Blog about..
I never know what to write on here anymore, there is pressure to be entertainling and witty, of which I am neither!
Anyway, I'll try my best to hold your attention for a few minutes at least.
I was off work all last week, I started the week with great intentions of getting creative with my camera. On my first day off I went for a huge walk around town with my eyes open for a change and snapped at what grabbed my attention. I got a few decent shots and then got chased home by the rain and a developing blister on my heel.
The next couple of days I actually made use of the wet and took some reflection shots and some other stuff that worked well. Towards the end of the week the drinking took over, nothing too over the top mind you, which is worrying. I fear I am reducing my alcohol intake too much, and becoming all sensible, next step.. in on a Saturday nights with a bovril..Ha never!
Anyway I hung out with the usual crowd on my days off which was nice, ending the week with Steve in a drunken mess on the kitchen floor after too many Tequilas back at Johnnys!!
Neil has just recently updated my site, it looks even more spectacular now..So do check it out for an aesthetically pleasing experience, and a few more pics from me as well. Guestbook also still in the making so I'll be looking for some constructive criticism in the coming weeks please!
We were also discussing the fact that T-shirts with the "K" logo from the site would be a cool idea. There would be the choice of pink or in the grey pre-load format. I think they would look the business, not necessary to get my name out there, although that would be good too, but just as a fun piece of clothing. Would anyone out there wear one?
Apart from the mundane crapness of being back at work that's the update on my life at the moment. Well all I'll be revealing on the web anyway ;)
Oh look at that, I seemed to have plenty to say after all.

Karen McClintock Photography
Well it has finally arrived http://www.karenmcclintock.co.uk/
Neil has been working his ass off, for which I am eternally grateful for, and now my mini portfolio is online at http://www.karenmcclintock.co.uk/
I am so excited to have some web presence, alas one cannot relax...there is work to be done!
As I'm off next week it's time to get my creative ass out and about and get some more beef in my site..!
So anyone who has the time to drop by http://www.karenmcclintock.co.uk/ please do so, and let me know what you think, if you do have a look you simply must email me some feedback. It would be rude not to comment, you wouldn't pop into my house and not say hello, so this can be like your little hello to me ;)
So it's the start of the week and the start of a new chapter in my life and its gonna be HOT!
Have a great week everyone.
Did I mention http://www.karenmcclintock.co.uk/ ;)

I still Exist
Hey,
Well it really has been a long time since I've posted, haven't really felt the urge to waffle on about anything in particular.
I am in a really foul mood today for some reason, much worse than the normal Monday morning blues. Well I say that but I'm not giving off any grumpy signals to the people around me, it's all inside..Grumpy on the inside delightful on the outside!
Don't even know where to start, and don't really want to start online for everyone to read! Besides I have no right to be grumpy, I have no actual "real" problems I'm just a typical woman going on about this and that, when really I should be greatful for everything I have.
I'm 27 and still don't really know what to do with my life, thats always been the case, but it is only now that it's actually starting to worry me...I badly want time off to contempate life haha, how over the top does that sound. Ok not to ponder on life, just to get some stuff done...I have no portfolio of photographs to speak of. I do have a few good shots, but nowhere near enough to call a good collection. I have no time to do the things I want to because stupid mundane work gets in the way. Its a vicious circle, I need to do more work on my photography, I have no time to do this and I'll just keep going round in circles with time slipping away far to quickly.
What I am also afraid of is that I actually do have time, and I'm just putting the entire thing off, maybe I'm scared I'll just be down right crap...and will never be happy with the work I produce. I'm really self critical, but I think it's because when I do anything at all there is always someone better than me out there...ahh maybe i'm looking into this a bit to deeply..
Luch time now,
Bon appetite!

Well hasn't it been a while..
Hey there,
It really has been a long time since I posted some random thoughts. So what have I been up to in the last few weeks I hear you cry. Well I have moved up to Belfast and am loving it already. My house mates are great and I can get into work in 10mins max, can't beat that with a big stick!
It's really starting to feel like my home now, my bed is nice and big and cosy ;)...and there has been no sheep head's placed on my pillow (just for you Neil)
I'm really tired today though..Need to start going to bed earlier but its hard to do when your in a new place.
I've been really lucky and got some gifts from Jill and Marie in work, lots of towels and wine glasses..
So what else, probably have to keep an eye on my money a lot in the next few months as there is a few trips coming up. That being said, I'm meeting Jen tonight for coffee, out for a bite to eat thurs and Fri and then I'm sure there will be Saturday shenanigans in town...ahh the life of a city dweller ;)

No Alcohol This Bank Holiday Weekend!
Hi everyone,
Well I've been feeling pretty knackered as I've got my yearly glandular issues, I can fight it though thats not the problem.
I woke up this morning and when i was brushing my teeth and found a bump in my gum. I got a bit worried and a booked a doctors app. There isn't really any pain at the moment but I think that is still to come as I appear to have found this at the earlier stages. The doctor seems to think is an absess on the bone, doesn't that sound lovely? He prescribed two sets of antibiotics which apparently that mixture in itself will make me feel a bit ill. Then he said I have to steer clear of alcohol as that will definitely make me barf..
Certainly is bad timing as Caroline is home this weekend and we are due to hit the town Friday night, and then a wine night is always a dead cert when she's home. Sooo thats put a bit of a dampner on things..Ahh well things could be worse, I could be off on hols tomorrow or something.
So I have a dentists app. next week to get this thing looked at, I reckon the woman who took my wisdom tooth out recently made a horrlicks and thats why this has come about!..
Anyway just thought I'd share my never ending mouth issues once again with you the avid reader..
This however is nothing compared to Tina's injuries, big shout out to the real invalid, she's broken her hand and eh her ass..Keep smiling chica!
Take care
Kaz

Justin Timberlake

Hey everyone.
I am extremely tired today as I was at the Justin Timberlake concert last night, just can't hack the pace..Standing really does take it out of you, my back was completely killing me by the end.
Anyway, great show.... Mr Trousersnake did not disappoint, he came across really well, thankful to us in a genuine way and seemed to be really enjoying himself (as you would with the amount of money he's rolling in).
The stage was in the middle with a bar all the way round it for the lucky people that won tickets or paid the obscene price of £250 to get seated there!!
He kicked off the show with a toast to his first date on the UK/Euro Tour with a shot of tequilla. I thought this was a nice touch, even though Tequilla is rancid! He did also however comment on being a little bit Irish which I dreaded happening...
"Sexy back" tore the roof off, as did a couple of his other hits, they sounded great live with the full band behind.
Mr Timberlake is actually pretty handy on the piano as well, and also turned his hand to a little bit of guitar playing. He's not really a guitar player though..
All in all I had a great time, and ofcourse managed to take some photographs for anyone that is interested. Although this nearly didn't happen as the woman at the door said I couldn't use my camera..ehhh Screwwwwwwwwwww youuuuuuuu!
